…. So variously sounded the mutual greetings in our general mother house Oberbronn during the days between 20th and 30th August 2015. Namely in these time an international sisters meeting of our congregation took place. 43 sisters from all provinces and delegations and two “guests sisters” from our sister congregation of Sopron / Rome are followed the invitation. For many of them, particularly for the sisters from India and Africa, it was actually the first visit to the foundation place of the congregation as well as to the generalate.
Conversations and prayer, talks, work in groups and in the plenary meeting, personal reflection and exchange with one another were the essential part of these colourful days. All have experienced great enrichment by the beautiful singings in different languages in which the liturgical services were conducted. The sisters showed, e.g., their creativity through small role plays in the plenary meeting, by which their contributions were particularly easily remembered. Interesting experiences and lot of joy brought by the meeting with the elderly co-sisters who have gladly responded to the questions of the young ones.
Of course the foundation day of the congregation was also celebrated in “colourful internationality”
On the last day of the meeting stand on the program visit in Strasbourg; with the visit of the cathedral which celebrates this year 1000 years of anniversary. Then on 30th August after the Sunday Mass the big farewell was announced, by which not the sadness about going away stand in the centre, but the joy about getting to know better each other and to deepening one’s own vocation and identity as sister of the Divine Saviour.
