As early as March the whole group met at Maria Hilf nunnery at Bühl. That weekend was mainly dedicated to getting to know each other more closely. Sr. Waltraud Decker, successor of Sr. Maria Sigrid Burkhart, celebrated, so to speak, her inauguration as the new Responsible of the group. During a Word Service, in which one member of the community took vows, Sr. Anna Maria Ortner (Provincial Assistant) presented her with the certificate of appointment on behalf of Provincial Superior Sr. Rosa Fischer.
The days were filled with exchanging ideas, planning, a Bible talk about the Gospel of the Sunday, happy songs, and prayers in the group and with the sisters of the communities at Maria Hilf nunnery.
The next meetings of the regional group Bühl will take place at Bühl in July and at Pforzheim in September.
At the end of April the regional group Neumarkt met Sr. Maria Scharpfenecker at the sisters’ home at Obernzell near Passau.
The topic was ‘Little plant faith – early conditioning in the life of Jesus, MAM and myself’ and made us look back at our own childhood and youth. Important aspects of the environment that influenced Jesus were discussed as well as the childhood and youth of Elisabeth Eppinger, the foundress of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer.
Strengthened and enriched by the numerous good experiences everybody returned home to take up everyday life again.
