In the morning of 11th August 2018, all sisters present in the house come together in the Chapel Saint Sauveur, the church of the general motherhouse, for the Morning Prayer.

Veni Creator, the hymn for the invocation of the Holy Spirit is sung.

Then, all sisters entitled to vote (capitulars) move into the chapter-hall.

Chairperson and returning officer (election official) of the electoral session is vicar general Mgr Jean-Luc LIENARD; he represents the Archbishop of Strasbourg, Mgr. Luc Ravel.

Sr. Monika Heuser is re-elected as Superior General for another term of office of six years.

Then all capitulars with Sr. Monika move in procession into the church for a solemn, multi-cultural Eucharist with the main-celebrant, Mgr Jean-Luc LIENARD, - preaching also the sermon - together with Chaplain Fr. Bernhard Weber and Fr. Alain Bernhard Houdayer OFM.

Above all, this celebration is characterized by joy and gratitude, but also by the asking for God’s blessing and grace for the further path of the congregation, particularly for the next six years.

The festive lunch reflects in the real French table culture, in the colourful community and cheerful togetherness.
